This week, in Design Technology, children have followed instructions to create a simple car chassis.  They use measuring tapes to measure how far their car travelled down an inclined plane.

Great teamwork shown today by all the children - Well Done!

The children have been hunting for rectangles in the shapes in the school garden.  The children then had to measure the length and width to calculate the perimeter.  

This morning, the children in Year 4 have participated in the BBC Live Lesson for Safer Internet Day 2025.  The children have learnt how to spot, avoid and report online scams.

Children in Year 4 have exploring different tints (adding white to a colour) and shades (adding black to a colour) to give a 3D effect when painting.

Children in Year 4 have been Working Scientifically to explore the viscosities of different liquids.  

Year 4 have been exploring electrical circuits.  All the children were given different components (wires, cells, bulbs and buzzers) and were asked to create as many different working circuits as possible. 

Children in Year 4 took part in the Ellesmere Port Lantern Parade and Christmas Tree Light Switch On tonight. 

Thank you to all the parents/carers who braved the rain, wind and cold to support this event.

The children have spent the day building lanterns ready for the Ellesmere Port Lantern Parade and Christmas Tree Switch on. 

Well done Year 4 - it took a lot of hard work, 'don't give up' attitude, determination and glue.

Children in Year 4 are rocking their odd socks today.  Odd Sock Day is the start of Anti-Bullying Week. 

It’s an opportunity to encourage people to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique!
