Well they do in science! Year 3 find out that two North poles or two South poles repel each other, but North and South poles attract.

We had a great day out finding out what it took to be in the Roman army 

and all about Chester's ancient history under Roman occupation. 

In science we have been learning about forces. This week we learned how friction helps us slow down!

We have been learning all about abstract art. We have focused on the artist Anthony Caro. We have been creating our abstract art based on similar ideas. 

We have been reading the book Big Blue Whale in literacy. The children have been researching facts about whales and creating pamphlets. They look rather splendid!

We had an incredible afternoon at school today as we welcomed the amazing GB Olympic medallist, Emily Ford!

In our Friday assembly, we celebrate our Superstars!  In each class, a Behaviour Superstar and a Learning Superstar receive a certificate from our Headteacher, Mr Orme.  We are very proud of all of our children who make everyday special just by being them.  

Does the tallest person have the longest jump?

Year 3 have been using cm and mm to measure themselves and their jumps

before converting them into equivalent lengths. .

I don't like cricket. I love it!!

It is Winter here. The women's ashes are taking place in Australia at present and we are getting in the cricket spirit too!
