Viscosity of Liquids
Children in Year 4 have been Working Scientifically to explore the viscosities of different liquids.

Y6 Science Workshop
Excellent workshop today Y6!
We were joined by an 'Energy' expert from Evolution. They spoke about different forms of energy (renewable, non-renewable and sustainable). We also studied the science behind electric cars before making our very own cars to race on a track!
An excellent…
Y2 - Science
Year 2 were investigating material strength and how an egg shell's shape can be good for building structures.
Knowledge: Identify and compare the suitability of a variety of everyday materials, including wood, metal, plastic, glass, brick, rock, paper and cardboard for particular…
Does it light up?
Year 4 have been exploring electrical circuits. All the children were given different components (wires, cells, bulbs and buzzers) and were asked to create as many different working circuits as possible.
Year 2 -Science
Year 2 are investigating how the shapes of solid objects can be stretched, twisted, bent or squashed. They explored 3 materials - air dried clay, plasticine and Playdoh.
Knowledge: to find out how the shapes of solid objects can be squashed, twisted, stretched and bent
Skills: to use…

sedimentary, metamorphic and igneous in science to coincide
with our theme of The stone Age.
Year 5 Urenco Workshop
This morning, Year 5 had Sarah from URENCO visit us. Sarah gave the class a separating materials workshop.
Pupils took part in various activities. Pupils were comparing different substances and seeing how they themselves could separate materials using centrifugal force.

Electricity
Building circuits with Y6!
The Year 6 children were challenged to build 'complete circuits' to light up bulbs and to sound buzzers when we turned the switch on.
We then considered how the brightness of the bulb would be effected by making different changes to the circuit.
Well done…
