As part of our Online Safety learning, children in Year 4 have been thinking about how online messages can be hurtful.  The children have been exploring how they should respond to a hurtful message.  

In ICT we have been using Word to create fact files about seals.

Children in Year 4 have been using the technique of 'onion' skinning to create their own mini animations.  

Today in Year 5's computing session, we explored the use of Boolean Operators when using search engines, such as Google, Yahoo and Bing.

We also looked at how search results differ from Google,Yahoo and Bing.

In our computing sessions this week, Year 5 learnt how search engines, such as Google, work.

Search engines crawl and index the web, use algorithms to rank content, and then show you the best matches for our search query.

Children in Year 4 have been independently using websites to gain facts about stalactites and stalagmites.  The children will use these facts next week to write explanations and fact files in Literacy.  

Here we are using our computing skills to create a fact file about the zoo. We inserted photographs and text onto our fact files. 

This week, Year 6 have started their 'Coding journey'.
