Lifesaving Swimming
As part of our Year 4 Swimming lessons, the children have been how to swim in pyjamas. Not only did the children have a fab time, they also learnt some important water safety messages and lifesaving skills.

Y4 Burglar Alarms
Year 4 have used all their new knowledge of complete and incomplete circuits as well as conductors and insulators to create a burglar alarm.

Lanterns Lanterns Everywhere
Children in Year 4 have spent the day making lanterns ready for the Ellesmere Port Lantern Parade and Christmas Light Switch On.
The children have reinforced their measurement and shape knowledge as well as learning about structures.

In Computing, children in Year 4 have been building on their Scratch Programming knowledge to create an electrical circuit game. The children have been learning about different variables as well as broadcast commands.

Exploring Circuits
Children in Year 4 have been exploring electrical circuits. All the children were given different components (wires, cells, bulbs and buzzers) and were asked to create as many different working circuits as possible.

Using conjunctions
Children in Year 4 have been looking at conjunctions and exploring how they can change the meaning of a sentence.

Y4 - Online Safety - Safe Searches
Children in Year 4 have been developing their knowledge and skills in order to be able to complete a safe and accurate search. The children have looked at trusted search engines as well as strategies to improve search results.

What is Area?
The children in Year 4 have been exploring Area. We have been creating different shapes with an area of 6 sticky notes.

It's All Greek to Me - ArtWeaver Project
This half term, children have used image editors to create an edited image of themselves transposed onto an image of an Ancient Greek monument.

Children in Year 4 have been developing their clay skills by creating a pinch pot, using Greek styles and shapes.
