Remembrance day reception
Reception have been learning all about the importance of of Remembrance day. Using a paint app on the ipads we used our skills to draw poppies. We learnt why Poppies are important to help us remember all the soldiers.

Children used different shading techniques to create our artwork as part of our Remembrance Day activities.

Food Collages
Today, the children learnt about the importance of 'Rainbow foods' in our diet and were encouraged to try new foods. The children had lots of fun creating food collages inspired by the Italian artist, Guiseppe Arcimbaldo.
A tribute to Henri Matisse
Year 3 have been studying the art of Henri Matisse. As a tribute to his famous collage 'The snail' we created our own collage animals. Enjoy!
Art on the doorstep
We have looked at where a number of famous artists created their most celebrated works of art and mapped them on our European map.. We have examined the work of Henri Matisse and his famous collage The snail. As a result we created our own animal collages in his style.

We have been exploring Judaism and considering the question "What do Jews believe about God?". Brooke has shown what God means to her and is symbolised by her drawing of her family.

Greek Pots
Children in Year 4 have been developing their clay skills by creating a pinch pot, using Greek styles and shapes.

Y6 Museum Leaflets
In Year 6, following our amazing trip to the World War 2 underground bunker, we have all written our own leaflets to try to persuade other people to go to the museum. WE have used 'persuasive devices' in order to convince our readers to pay a visit.

Y4 Maths - Adding 4 digit numbers
Year 4 have been using playing cards, dice, counters and bingo to generate their addition own calculations.

Y4 - Designing and Making a Labyrinth
Children in Year 4 read the story of Theseus and the Minotaur before design their own maze. The children practised their measurements and cutting skills, as well developing their teamwork skills.

Y4 ArtWeaver - It's All Greek to Me
Children used an i-pad to take photographs of themselves as a member of Greek society and then used images to merge themselves into a picture of Ancient Greek monument or landscape.
