Year 5 French - Days of the week
In French today, Year 5 were learning more about the days of the week. Tres Bien Year 5!
Year 5 with Factors
Today Year 5's maths lesson was something a bit different. We all had fun writing, on the tables, factors of numbers.

Online Safety: CyberBullying
As part of our Online Safety learning, children in Year 4 have been thinking about how online messages can be hurtful. The children have been exploring how they should respond to a hurtful message.
Year 5 Create Doodlers
Building on yesterday's knowledge of electrical circuits, Year 5 created their own doodlers.
The creating of the doodlers created several issues where the class had to use their problem solving skills to make sure the doodler moved across the paper.

Library Visit
The children had a fantastic time visiting Ellesmere Port Library - some children joined the library and others borrowed and returned books.
Year 5 Electrical Systems
In Design and Technology today, Year 5 explored the world of electrical circuits. We built our own circuits with a motor. We will use our knowledge from today for our next D&T session where we will create our own doodlers.
Year 5 Up Levelling Work
This morning, Year 5's literacy lesson involved looking at a diary entry from the fearless Annie Edson Taylor.
The class had to assess the work, looking for any mistakes and then correcting them.

Year 5 - Making an Alloy
Year 5 had an exciting science lesson today! They created model alloys using Play-Doh as the base material. By adding different additives like sand and salt, they explored how these changes affected the properties of their “alloys.” It was a hands-on experiment that helped them understand theā¦

KS2 Disco
Yesterday after school, KS2 held their Autumn disco. There were lots of fantastic dance moves on show!

Year 5 - Mapping Annie Edson Taylor's journey down river
Today in literacy, Year 5 plotted the journey of Ms Taylor as she travelled down stream in her balls towards the raging falls of Niagara.
Children showcased their use of fronted adverbials and also wrote down what emotions Annie would have been feeling.
Well done Year 5!

Wax Resist Art
After creating their own wax resist boards, children created abstract art. The children used a range a scratched marks to add contrast and patterns.

Digestion
Children in Year 4 have been using everyday items to explore the human digestive system.
