Year 5 - Mapping Annie Edson Taylor's journey down river
Today in literacy, Year 5 plotted the journey of Ms Taylor as she travelled down stream in her balls towards the raging falls of Niagara.
Children showcased their use of fronted adverbials and also wrote down what emotions Annie would have been feeling.
Well done Year 5!
Y5 - Literacy - What kind of person was Annie Edson-Taylor?
This morning in literacy, we were looking at various words that could describe Annie Edson-Taylor the main character, from our class book this half term, Queen of the Falls.
If we were unsure on a word, we used a dictionary to find its definition.
Great work Year 5!
Y4: Predictions, Predictions, Predictions
Year 4 have been using illustrations from our new 'Pathways to Read' book to predict what type of text it could be.
Children were asked to discuss who the characters might be, where the story might be set and possible story plot ideas.
A super speaking and listening…
