Year 5 - Mapping Annie Edson Taylor's journey down river
Today in literacy, Year 5 plotted the journey of Ms Taylor as she travelled down stream in her balls towards the raging falls of Niagara.
Children showcased their use of fronted adverbials and also wrote down what emotions Annie would have been feeling.

Y5 Science - Reversible Changes with Chocolate
This afternoon in science, Year 5 had quite the tasty experiment whilst looking at the difference in physical qualities of chocolate before and after having heat applied. We heated the chocolate up in our mouths and hands.

This morning in literacy, we were looking at various words that could describe Annie Edson-Taylor the main character, from our class book this half term, Queen of the Falls.
If we were unsure on a word, we used a dictionary to find its definition.

In this afternoon's music lesson, Year 5 delved into the Blues genre of music. We learnt where it originated from and talked about the genre's themes.
