Predictions, Predictions, Predictions
Year 4 have been using key words and sentences from our new Literacy text to predict what the story might be about.

Sound and Pitch
Year 4 have had a very noisy afternoon creating straw pipes and a pipe flute.
The children discovered that: the shorter straws produced a higher pitch note and the longer straws produced a lower pitched note.

Biscuits!
As part ot our Design Technology unit, the children in Year 4 have been evaluating different types of biscuit considering the taste, smell, texture and appearance.

Creating Waves
We have created our own 'Sound Wave Machine' to demonstrate how sound travels in waves. The children explored how the waves change when you tap the jelly baby with different strengths.

The Romans Learning Logs
Another set of outstanding Learning Logs.
This Learning Log focussed on extending our learning of 'The Romans'. Children have baked biscuits and cheesecakes, moulded silver coins and made 3D shields, swords and even constructed a 3 Colosseum structure.
