Year 5 had an amazing art day where they engaged in a variety of creative activities. From sketching a house to exploring architecture created by Zaha Hadid and Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
To start off the day, the students sketched a house. This exercise allowed them to practice their drawing skills and explore different shapes and angles. It also gave them a foundation to build on as they moved on to more complex projects.
Next, the students learned about Zaha Hadid, a renowned architect who was known for her futuristic and innovative designs. Using her work as inspiration, the students were challenged to create a sustainable building for the future.
In addition to exploring the work of Zaha Hadid, the students also looked at the work of architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser. Hundertwasser was known for his unconventional approach to architecture and his focus on the environment. The exercises they completed encouraged creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression.
